Praveena Sridhar is an Environmental Engineer and Public Policy Expert by training. She has been working towards solving the issues of access to clean drinking water and sanitation for remote communities in India for 15 years.
Since 2015, she has expanded her scope of work to address a deeper issue of depletion water resources and its impact on the farming community as a part of the Rally for Rivers team. At Rally for Rivers, she was integral to the crafting of Policy Recommendation submitted to the Government of India to bring the back Indian rivers alive. At present she leads the Cauvery Calling operations in the state of Karnataka. This role involves her working towards bring the two primary stakeholders together - the farmers and the government.
